Steven Miller, MSPharm, DPH, is a Consultant with CENTRE Health Partners. Mr. Miller is a Director of Pharmacy at Coventry Health Care, concentrating on workers compensation plans, formulary development, and new business integration.
Mr. Miller has expertise in utilization review procedures and intervention development, formulary implementation, appeal management, benefit identification, and provider education. He has experience with specialties in intervention techniques, workers compensation pharmacy programs and negotiation, geriatrics, pharmacy benefit management, and utilization review programs. Mr. Miller has worked with HMOs, PPOs, IPAs, managed care organizations, and consulting groups in an extensive pharmaceutical career, both as a payor and a vendor.
On the public program side, he has consulted with state pharmacy programs for the elderly and state Medicaid programs, as well as national employers. He has made public presentations on pharmacy benefit management techniques and cost containment proposals. Mr. Miller has also served as a consultant in several legal actions related to pharmacy practice.
He is licensed to practice pharmacy in four states (Iowa, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Tennessee) and is eligible for licensure in all states that accept NABPLEX license examination results. He has made public presentations on pharmacy benefit management techniques and cost containment proposals. Mr. Miller has also served as a consultant in several legal actions related to pharmacy practice.
Mr. Miller’s education includes a B.S., Pharmacy from University of Iowa, M.S. Pharmacy and Administrative Science from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Pharmacy.
